The tracks are from Nick Costa’s sophomore album Tell My Mother I Love Her.
Tell My Mother I Love her is the new album from Nick Costa, and highlights are most stripped back and darker side of the sound that the artist has been honing for over 15 years now.
‘I Don’t Feel Like Having Fun’ is the first track from the album, and sets the tone for the project in a concise and thoughtful way. The track intimates some of the pressures and struggles that come with social anxiety and depression, a theme that rears its head throughout the record. The track is a great test for you to dive into to find out whether the artists sound, and this album are a good fit for you, but there is a lot to sink your teeth into and enjoy here.
‘Caught Feelings’ is the heartbroken tale of paranoia, uncertainty, and fear, as the artist tries to navigate being single following the break down of a 10 year relationship. The track is also hopeful however, and showcases the rousing and engross capabilities of Nick Costa’s sound, harking back to the sound of artists like Father John Misty at times, but with Nick’s personality shining through.
