‘Passive Tone’ is an increasingly incendiary new release from Nocturnal Animals

Self-proclaimed “skeleton punk-rockers” (idk what that means but it sounds cool) Nocturnal Animals have been carving out a real reputation for themselves since their 2020 emergence, crafting an aggressive, cutting edge sound that bleeds with a real sense of authenticity and slick charm.

The latest release from the outfit is their new single ‘Passive Tone’, the lead single from their highly awaited debut EP Paint A Picture. The track builds from being something quite composed and *whisper it quietly* nice before descending into a flood of distorted guitars and brash, hard-hitting drive. The track feels stacked full of bile-filled resentment and discontent as it grows increasingly angst-ridden and scathing throughout, a stellar advertisement for the band and their chaotic sound.
