The track is from her excellent new album Wake the Dawn
With the release of her immersive new LP Wake the Dawn, Australian alt-pop artist Noralyn has put together a collection of tracks that were written and recorded over a period of five years, exploring themes like hope and struggle to varying degrees throughout the ten tracks.
A track that we have singled out for praise is ‘Wanderlust’, a gorgeously textured track that has a lightness to it thanks to its breezy indie-folk soundscape and the expressive yet soft nature of her vocals. The gorgeous pianos in particular give the track a cinematic and poignant feel that only grows more intoxicating as the instrumentation slowly grows as it progresses. Thematically, the track explores similarly ethereal and adventurous territory as its sound does, offering a charming sense of warmth and atmopsheric strength as it progresses that grows into something that feels all-conquering and rousing.
