On their thoughtful new single ‘Mary (I Am Here but I Am Gone)’, rousing alt-country duo OH ROSA explore the theme of growing old together and everything that comes with it, encompassing everything from the euphoria of shared memories, to the bittersweet reality of them eventually fading away.

The pair, comprising of singer Rosie Benson and Fran on guitar, bass, and mouth organ, do a really wonderful job of capturing the unique beauty and essence of such situations through their nuanced sound and the authenticity and heartfelt charm that permeates it. There are moments here that feel vibrant and fun, while others feel daunting and more melancholy, and these emotional shifts hold up a really poignant mirror to the situation they are exploring, making for a listening experience that feels both deeply engrossing and uncompromisingly real.
