Despite the fact that it is so often her immersive writing and personable appeal that catches the eye, a highlight of the new release is her gorgeously composed cover of easy life’s 2021 single ‘ocean view’. Phoebe’s re-imagining of the track feels full of depth and charm, even featuring seaside sounds from Brighton beach to add to this sense of serenity and immersion. So many of Phoebe’s talents so often lie within her writing, but seeing her put her own unique stamp on an already great track has been just as satisfying.
