‘Do You Feel High?’ is a hypnotic, psychedelic maelstrom🌪
Pink Skies embark on quite the trip on their new single ‘Do You Feel High?’. The track is the first to be shared from their new album Spectra and follows last year’s EP Infinity.
Channelling the best bits of Tame Impala and Travis Scott, ‘Do You Feel High?’ marries psychedelic rock and darker, more ambient touches. Laced with smatterings of synth and underpinned by a sludgy baseline, the track was inspired by a landmark event witnessed by songwriter Arieh Berl.
“I made ‘Do You Feel High?’ on an island in the middle of nowhere during a crazy storm,” shares Berl of the track. “You could see the mountains in the distance and it really was insane looking and had all this kind of darker sinister energy.
“My friend Kendrick and I were twisted off our minds and the song just kind of happened,” he continues. “My favourite part of the song is the synths that sound like crystals; it sounds like it takes you to a whole other planet.”
‘Do You Feel High?’ is available now.
