Bristol based alt-pop outfit Ålesund reveal single ‘Rode Off Into The Sun’
“Rode Off Into The Sun” is a triumphant, up-tempo single that is made for the summer.
Fronted by the ethereal vocals of British-Norwegian singer-songwriter Alba Torriset, Ålesund’s sound is a fusion of dreamy pop hooks, atmospheric soundscapes and alternative rock riffs, which have drawn comparisons to the likes of Kate Bush, Florence and the Machine and London Grammar.
Speaking about the new release, vocalist Alba shares: “Rode Off Into The Sun was written with a lot of joy. I tried to capture that feeling of new excitement bubbling, of turning over a new chapter and feeling really GOOD about it all.
Leaving the past in the past and running headlong into whatever the future holds. A good friend of mine was going through a rough time, but instead of being dragged down by it all, she handled it with positivity and enthusiasm.
It was infectious to be around and so inspiring it led me to writing this song. I hope listening to it gives off some positive vibes too!”
