Alternative outfit Arliston return with their experimental blend of hard-hitting indie pop in new single ‘Centre’
Turning heads within the industry, Arliston are quick off the mark and take centre stage in their latest number.
“Centre” cuts through the noise with vengeance and comes across as an emotive alt-pop piece of art.
Its introduction is full of aching keys, alongside Jack’s ethereal and distinctive vocals setting the scene.
Telling us about the new release, Arliston share, “Before ‘Centre’ we’d never worked with another producer; having to explain ourselves had an unexpected effect on what came out.
The identity of the ‘Centre’ is still very much “Arliston” at its core, but the fresh approach and bold textures took the project to an entirely new place that we were surprised and delighted to arrive at.
Centre is a song about getting your priorities wrong and subsequently having to sacrifice something precious.”
Reminiscent of The National and influenced by the likes of Big Red Machine, the song ebbs and flows between verse and chorus and goes in between multiple layers.
Symbolising their potential as a group in the world of music, Arliston have star-quality written all over them.
