As We Leave retrace their youth in new lo-fi indie track ‘Stories We Tell’. Reminiscing on happy times, the track revisits moments frozen in time through the band’s eyes. Capturing a youthful sound within the track’s core, the intimate textures are bathed with vibrant melodies.
On the new single, As We Leave had this to say, “It’s the sound of nostalgia, those little indulgent moments when you reminisce. Fond memories lost in time that you long to recreate but know, deep down, they are gone… but no amount of idealism or cynicism should impinge on trying to articulate those feelings.
The wonderment of discovering ‘that record’ that changed your life, the carefree, naive attitude of youth, the jarring possibility that the best things have passed… it’s As We Leave dancing with the bittersweet nature of personal nostalgia, or in a less pretentious fashion, having a few beers and remembering the good old days.”
