Rising pop singer-songwriter Bailey Coats unveils groundbreaking new single ‘Something in the water’
“Something in the water’ is the latest anthem from emerging pop icon Bailey Coats. Part of her forthcoming EP, out later this year, this inspiring new single is a big middle finger up to cheaters and their true colours.
Written with veteran producer Khris Riddick-Tynes (Ariana Grane, Kehlani, Jessie Reyez) during the first session that she ever recorded with him, the track was inspired after Bailey witnessed someone she knew from Instagram cheating on his girlfriend.
Inspiring the narrative and writing a killer song from the ashes of a toxic relationship, ‘Something in the water’ is an iconic pop number that could potentially find its way into the charts.
Sharing her thoughts on the release, Bailey Coats tells us, “‘Something in the water’ is about recognizing the true intentions of someone. We can sometimes believe we truly know someone based upon how they portray themself online or the best version of themself in person; however, it can be a tough awakening when we realize the true colors of someone we have been spending time with.”
Frustrated by cheating and needing a little pick me up? This is the track for you. Fuelled with energy and a smooth production sent straight from the heavens, there must be something in the water that Bailey’s drinking because every single one of her releases has been incredible.
“Something in the water” is out worldwide tomorrow and it commands attention.
