Electro-pop artist Beth Duck unveils ‘Sad Together’, the second release off her debut EP
London based electro-pop singer songwriter Beth Duck is clearly stating she’s destined for greatness. With over 5 million streams across streaming platforms, she returns with ‘Sad Together’. Written about someone else’s heartbreak, the track was produced and co-written with One by One, a duo from Berlin.
On the single, Beth mentioned, ‘I wrote this song about watching your friends go through break ups and wanting to be there for them but also wanting to get revenge on whoever hurt them. It’s about females supporting and empowering each other through life and becoming independent women who can fight for themselves.’
This song is all about finding your inner psycho, turning self pity and sadness into empowerment and friendship. The experimental vocal effects and cinematic sound effects were used to give the song an edgy and dramatic feel, whist adding to the creepy and psychotic vibe of the vocals and lyrics.’
The second release from Beth’s debut EP isn’t your traditional heartbreak ballad. Elements of alternative summit the soundscape with ease, and there’s subtle nudges towards artists such as Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and MUNA.
Bringing her own originality to the table, the colourful songwriter oozes with talent out of every pore. ‘Sad Together’ is best experienced loud and miming the lyrics into a hairbrush…go on, we dare you!
Beth Duck’s debut EP is set to be one of the hottest releases of the year.
