LGBTQ+ icon Callum Crighton unleashes debut EP “Lazer Police: The Musical”

Singer-Songwriter Callum Crighton returns with vibrant debut EP ‘Lazer Police: The Musical’. Gaining previous support from ‘Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Pop’ playlist, and being featured on the radio in Merseyside, this artist deserves his name in lights.

Out worldwide tomorrow, this exquisite debut EP is armed with vibrance and energy. Standing up for individuality, creativity and the LGBTQ+ community, Callum is the type of person you’d want your kids to look up to.

Speaking about the nostalgic yet refreshingly original EP and ‘Universal Hand’, Callum shares, “This track was inspired by the loneliness yet togetherness one can feel from the age of digital communication. It has an old school 80’s ballad sound with a more modern upbeat drum movement to connect the nostalgic ideals of the past with the electronic realities of the present.

This track could loosely be seen as a reference to the isolation people felt during the 2020 pandemic, but extends much further, and can also be about the loneliness one may feel within themselves.”

For tracks straight from the soul, each four-track tells a different story but also pays ode to his personal experiences. Sounding somewhere between synthwave and synth-pop, ‘Lazer Police: The Musical’ consistently brings something new to the table with each listen.

Influenced by the likes of Marina (and the Diamonds), Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Duran Duran and Kate Bush to name a few, Callum has certainly been surrounding himself with the best pop artists of all time.

Add “Lazer Police: The Musical” to your playlists and get this star heard, he’s truly a force to be reckoned with.
