Alt-pop duo Dady release effortless indie-pop single ‘Dark Mode’
Alt-pop two-piece Dady return with dreamy new single, ‘Dark Mode’. A stylish offering that showcases how powerful their songwriting truly is, the track oozes confidence throughout.
With a comfortable discography sat behind them, this electro-pop contender is infused with dream-pop elements and a spacious production filled with hypnotising vocals.
On their new release, Dady tell us, “Dark Mode was written and recorded (almost) all in one day during the summer of 2020. With this release, we decided to explore warmer, more organic instrument sounds, a bit of a departure from our early production and beat-heavy tracks.
Chalk it up to turning 30 (or all of the Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy we listened to over the course of the pandemic), but we wanted to take our foot off the gas with Dark Mode. Both vocally and production-wise, it’s an exploration of how less can be more.”
Produced by Dady’s Jesse O’Connor, the memorable number is armed with an ear-worm chorus and an authentic soundscape of vibrance.
A shining example of the duo’s chemistry, this reflective single states that sometimes simplicity is key.
Poised with stunning guitar motifs, pulsating rhythms and a distinctive character, ‘Dark Mode’ is easy-listening and a warm welcome into the world of Dady.
