LA based synth-pop artist Geographer unveils brand new single “Garden”
Mike Deni, aka the genius behind solo project Geographer, returns with, what could be, his finest work yet.
Using his signature sound of analogue, electronic and acoustic elements to create a soulful experience, this artist crafts euphoric music straight from the heart.
With an exceptional amount of monthly listeners on Spotify alone, Geographer is certainly making waves within the industry.
On the new single ‘Garden’, Geographer shares, “‘Garden’ explores the notion of soul mates, which is not something I believe in, but I just sort of took a step inside and brought it to its logical conclusion. If there ARE soul mates, the chances of finding yours is, well, 1 in 6 billion.
So that idea, far from being romantic, actually becomes kind of horrifying. That we all belong to one single person on this earth, and we can either scour it to find them or just give up. And then it gets even more horrifying, thinking that every relationship we find ourselves in is just us giving up. You just decide to be with THIS person.
Much like a frontier person setting out to find the Pacific Ocean but deciding that Nebraska will have to do. Whether it’s exhaustion or a state of resigned grace, they decide to give up their holy grail quest and be okay with just drinking out of a regular gold goblet. So it’s a fun love song, in other words. I wrote it when I was desperately alone.”
Infused with distinctive synthesisers that easily steal the show, ‘Garden’ deserves a trophy in its own right.
Vibrant, complex and optimistic, “Garden” is a strong return.
