Emerging pop artist Holly Jade unveils diverse debut single ‘Still High’
Australian born, Los Angeles-based artist Holly Jade makes her debut with ethereal lo-fi pop anthem ‘Still High‘.
Powered with lo-fi beats, angelic vocal melodies and an enchanting guitar tone, ‘Still High’ weaves through multiple genres to create its diverse sound.
Speaking about the exceptional debut single, Holly Jade tells us, “Still High’ is a dreamy lo-fi pop track about deciphering a past relationship. It’s bittersweet… sometimes just bitter.
I wanted to capture that feeling of being completely stuck on a relationship, when you’re going over and over a situation and you can’t get it out of your head.
There’s nostalgia, frustration, regret, sadness, desire…all those feelings you kind of have to move through after a break up. ‘Still High’ was produced by Father Bobby Townsend, who I met at the Grammy Museum just days before covid lockdowns hit LA.
We were able to record the song at Future Classic just in time for FBT to escape back to Canada, finishing the track remotely during lockdown.”
A stream of consciousness that captures the feeling of overthinking a past relationship and the what ifs.
Highly relatable, ‘Still High’ is an easy-listening hit that screams importance in Holly’s career.
