Singer-songwriter Jeremy Oliveria returns with his first single of the year, ‘Perspective’ and it will certainly leave you wanting more.
Written after losing a close friend, the song may hold an emotive side to it’s core, but it’s uplifting instrumentation is optimistic for brighter days ahead.
Beginning with an intricate, mellow guitar line, ‘Perspective’ draws you in with it’s diverse nature.
Starting off with an acoustic sounding attire, ‘Perspective’ changes the tempo with a full-band arrangement after the introduction.
Speaking about the emotive song, Jeremy tells us, “in the process of working on this song and the record, a couple of my dear friends tragically passed away. Their unexpected deaths had a massive affect on how these songs took shape lyrically and sonically.
Some of the guitar parts and synth layers represent different aspects of life, death, nostalgia, and the space in between. This track is about desperately wanting a higher point of view to see even a sliver of light in the darkness that so many of us can feel.”
“Perspective” is taken off Jeremy’s upcoming album and really shaped the lyrical direction of the release.
