‘Hide & Seek’ is a focussed and dynamic new single from UK post-hardcore outfit Kill The Silence
Over the last decade or so, Leeds post-hardcore outfit Kill The Silence have been tightening and perfecting a sound that feels both gloriously melodic while having a spiky, heavier edge that makes for a well-rounded and dynamic style that should appeal to fans all around the alternative music spectrum.
The band’s new single ‘Hide & Seek’ is something of a comeback following the release of ‘Lost At Sea’ coming from back in early 2023, and it finds the band feeling reinvigorated and more emphatic than ever. The performances here feel razor sharp, with the guitars and rhythms making for a sound that feels punchy and intense throughout, while the contrast between the screamed and sang vocals make for an engrossing Jekyll and Hyde dynamic that packs a hefty punch.
“I started writing songs based on movies or TV shows I really liked, this song is based on the movie ‘Ready Or Not’ where the protagonist is hunted down in a lethal game of hide & seek.” frontman Jason Walsh says of the track.
