KK Lewis returns with ethereal new single ‘First Bus Home’
Following in the footsteps of her first single of the year ‘Good Enough’, ‘First Bus Home’ is the latest dream-like offering from KK Lewis.
The angelic new single reflects teenage pursuits of love, and is something we can all relate to, no matter what age you are.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse, Arlo Parks and Celesta, KK Lewis is a personal songwriter that uses music to tell her empowering story.
Speaking on the release, KK states, “this song is really special to me, it depicts a memory that now pops up in my head every time I listen to it.
It was a very lonely time in my life that I can look back on now, with some clarity. It’s like I get to relive that moment over again, but in a good way.”
Detailing how isolating love can feel and how quickly emotions can take control of us, ‘First Bus Home’ covers common ground lyrically, but musically, it steps into the blissful unknown.
Certainly one-to-watch out for, KK Lewis is armed with a delicate vocal, powerful production and minimalistic music.
“First Bus Home” is taken from KK Lewis’ forthcoming EP, where each track explores a different version of KK and revealing a new avenue.
