Electro-pop artist Leif Coffield unveils new single ‘Say My Name’
Out worldwide tomorrow, your ears can taste on the new Leif Coffield track a day earlier. Titled ‘Say My Name‘, the track weaves through dark wave electronic pop with a mixture of industrial movements.
Coated with atmospheric vocals that journey through realms of contemporary pop, ‘Say My Name’ feels like it could be the perfect track for a Car advert or even something you’d hear on the Superbowl adverts.
Talking about his music, Leif had this to say, “I try in each of my songs for them to have one unique element, or one distinguishing factor that sounds out of the ordinary and that separates it from the norm. I take a lot of inspiration from artists that endeavour to break the mould and refrain from operating within the confines of the mainstream. Artists like Flume, FINNEAS, Kanye West, Bon Iver etc where pushing the boundaries of the creative process and what is conventionally palatable is key.
I would describe my music as if hip hop impregnated acoustic and gave birth to a baby that was raised in an electronic family. I always try to evoke emotion in the song whether it be through the instrumentation or accompanying vocal melody and lyrics.”
“Say My Name” continues to bring something new to the table with each listen. An innovative single that showcases an artist at the peak of his powers, Leif Coffield’s latest track is another step up the ladder of success.
Having gained support through 2020 from the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and CLASH, it’s no surprise that this dark-pop artist is turning heads.
