On the new single, Matt mentioned, “I think breath has to be my favourite song that I’ve put out so far. Initially, I tried working with other writers from the EP but I realised very quickly that I wanted this song to be from me only, and I’m really proud I made that decision.
It took me so long to finish it, when I started, I was in a very messy headspace but as time went on I started to refine everything and really focus on the message of the song. It’s not about a breakup, it’s not a dig, it’s about confusion.”
