Montreal based alt-pop artist Miko returns with new single ‘In My Dreams’
Back with ethereal single ‘In My Dreams’, alt-pop icon Miko uses his music to touch on introspection, intimacy and the realisation you are far more than your circumstances.
Working with acclaimed producer Julian Cruz (Dominic Fike, Kenny Mason), the 22-year-old songwriter is once again demonstrating his talent as both a songwriter and performer.
Receiving praise from the likes of CLASH, Earmilk, Alternative Press and Dork, Miko’s turning heads with some of the industries experts.
Speaking on the new single Miko said, “This song’s about internet infatuation. It takes you with me on a date with someone I’ve never met. I wrote this one at the beginning of the pandemic and got to collaborate remotely with producer Julian Cruz and good friend of mine Yuki Dreams Again.
It’s the first time I ever heard strings on one of my songs and I’m so happy with the result.”
‘In My Dreams’ sees Miko wrestle with the temptation of lust rather than true desire.
Highlighting his boyish charm and sublime vocal range, the track builds through layers of vocal samples, airy guitar lines and punching drums to create a single packed with emotional and musical depth as well as immense commercial appeal.
