Arising in the industry with their debut, Mumble Tide’s ‘Sleepy Heads’ is an infectious lo-fi number
Bristol based duo Mumble Tide are here with their debut into the industry. For a debut, you need something that stands out from the crowd and grabs your attention from the get go. ‘Sleepy Heads’ is everything that’s right with a debut. There’s layers of contagious synths with even moments of folk in the track’s lyrics.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Soccer Mommy, Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers, Mumble Tide will bring fragrances of joy into your life.
“When people around you are living a different lifestyle, it’s easy to think you’re doing something wrong. We wrote Sleepy Heads a few months back when it felt like winter was taking the piss.
It seemed to rain every time we left the house and it was starting to feel like a lot of people weren’t understanding what we were trying to do. We can both be pretty hard on ourselves but putting this track together in our damp little bedroom made us feel better.” – Mumble Tide
‘Sleepy Heads’ resides in a lo-fi pop aura with moments of indie in the mix too. Featuring a wide production for a duo, the vibrant number showcases a two-piece that are destined for the number one slot in the indie charts.
Visually, the video shines through a nostalgic presence. While the ‘video’ is mirrored through the old Goodmans TV, the 9 minute long music video also features another soul gripping number illustrating the duo mean business.
