Fall head over heels in love with Ollie Hayes’ second release to date ‘Mad Love’
Taken off his debut EP with the same title, ‘Mad Love’ is Ollie Hayes’ latest offering into his alternative-pop world of warmth. Raising it’s commercial pop head into the wild, if this track doesn’t end up in the charts, we protest.
On the new single, Ollie had this to say, “Mad Love was one of the last songs to be written for the record and is the poppiest on it. It’s about like a kind of daydream I had whilst sitting in the car with someone on the way to a party, during which time I think I fell a little bit in love with them.
It was kind of easy to write as most of it was about things that were said or was what my imagination had wandered away too. To me it sounds like afrobeat Coldplay but lyrically less optimistic than them.
