Birmingham based icons overpass unveil electrifying third single ‘Stop the Clock’
Only on their third release to date, overpass are certainly making waves in the industry. ‘Stop the Clock‘ pays ode to their youthful sound yet specialises in growth.
Entering with a pulsating bass line that could easily jive into tomorrow, the track fully begins when an addictive guitar riff is introduced.
Explaining their views on their journey so far and the new single, overpass state, “we’ve been blown away by the reaction we’ve had for our music so far. If you’d have told us back when we first started practicing together that we’d have music on Spotify with almost 50k streams we wouldn’t have believed you.
We’ve definitely come a long way since those first rehearsals, and Stop the Clock represents that journey and growth. The song has transformed from a little riff that Max tested out one day to something much bigger. The release of this song has come at a time when things are starting to happen again: places are opening, we can meet friends and family, and hopefully gigs will be back on.
We really hope that Stop the Clock can be an energetic, uplifting soundtrack to a summer much brighter than the last for everyone who listens.”
Able to create innovative indie rock music is tough when the industry has got somewhat watered down, but overpass seem to release banger after banger at the moment.
Knowing what sounds good and always featuring their signature sound, overpass are definitely Ones to Watch for 2021.
