Ralph Taylor returns with ‘Sweet Innocence’ via London-based label Laid Bare Records
Singer-songwriter Ralph Taylor first fuses his blend of alternative pop with a loop pedal back when he was younger. Now playing with his own quartet, his music ranges from electronic pop to even fragrances of indie in the mix. While his influences range from indie, funk, hip-hop, jazz and folk, the composer creates his own distinctive sound easily and elegantly. Returning with the smooth ‘Sweet Innocence’, the track proves how fierce his songwriting ability truly is.
Ralph told us, “Writing Sweet Innocence was almost the final straw to sending off an old chapter of my life and kick starting a new one. It was one of those tunes that didn’t take too long to come together initially, but a good year was spent fine tuning it from a demo stage to a finished product with my producer, Luke Buttery.
I’ve been spending a lot more time playing the bass over the last couple years, so it’s nice to feel it becoming more of a driving force behind the music I’m making. Maybe this song was written to my guitar as a heads up!”
‘Sweet Innocence’ grooves into it’s own realm of indie goodness. With fragrances of the smooth attitude that Jamiroquai and even Harry Styles portray, ‘Sweet Innocence’ suits the mainstream sound of electro pop with a firm head on it’s shoulders.
