Singer/songwriter Safiyyah releases her new single ‘Let You In’ from her forthcoming EP to be released in February
Back with the dance-inspired new single ‘Let You In’, singer-songwriter Safiyyah sings about being confident in your surroundings.
Her music flows seamlessly between Neo-Soul, low-fi, R&B and contemporary jazz with influences including the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu & Prince whilst also interpreting powerful female inspiration from the likes of Nina Simone and Frida Kahlo.
Recorded at Pirate Studios, the track was produced by Sammy Soso (Trillary Banks, WizKid) and co-written by Chloe Bodur.
Speaking about the single, Safiyyah explains, “It’s more of a personal song to myself, it’s about my characteristics.
Being introverted but selectively extroverted, letting someone into my world, leaving motives way too soon.
A song where people can relate to being a bit reserved but around the right people they come alive.”
Taken from her forthcoming EP to be released in February, ‘Let You In’ steals your attention from the very first note.
A real treat to listen to, the iconic drop is poised with delicate vocals, transcending keyboard lines and an incredible amount of modulation.
The essential track to your serotonin boost playlist!
