Art-pop collective Stealing Signs unveil new video to go with their latest single release ‘The Coast’
Set to rocket the world tomorrow, ‘The Coast’ is Stealing Signs’ latest offering and my goodness, it soars into brightness. Using a sunny metaphor alongside a darker message of a polarised society, the track features radiant pop melodies with a memorable chorus.
Written in Paris, where the band gig regularly, most of the tracks from their upcoming album ‘Somewhere Between’ was penned there too.
“‘The Coast’ is about that situation we all find ourselves in from time-to-time – fundamentally disagreeing with someone who you have to spend time with, be it a family member, a friend of a friend, a co-worker. It muses on the things that you’d really like to say to that person, knowing that you can’t and never will.” – Nick Acton, vocals, Stealing Signs
Alongside a playful arrangement, the video was shot and produced entirely by the band. With good uses of a green screen, the fun-loving visuals fit perfectly with the art-pop anthem. Providing the summer hits for the warmth ahead, hopefully we’re all out of isolation by then. ‘
‘The Coast’ is calling for a live audience that can react to it and once that happens, we can tell the whole audience will radiate into a big, bright smile. A wonderful new single from one of the best bands in Essex.
