Sterling Press create “Lots of Noise” in electrifying new single
Back with their second single ‘Lots of Noise‘, Sterling Press are destined to be a strong asset to the ever-growing indie rock scene.
Known for their energetic performances and punk nature, the new single leans further into the band’s ska roots.
Making an impactful return to the scene, “Lots of Noise” is a punchy track not for the faint-hearted.
Speaking about their new single, the band reveals…
Ed – “We wanted the drums to punch like they would in a garage track. Luce initially recorded the track at half tempo and then we sped it up with a tape machine to get the electronic effect, which we are really happy with.”
Marlon – “We spent the first lockdown delving deep into bands like the Specials. Like those ska tunes, we wanted a fast pace song that gets going quickly and keeps up the intensity.”
Lucien – “The track is really about a character who’s based on someone we know. It all came from the experience that they had and the song developed from there. At its core, it’s about dreaming of something bigger whilst being stuck in something small.”
Greg – “The song really did come together in the studio, we were in to record some other tunes at the time and this was just a little idea but it really flourished and didn’t take long at all when we gave it a go. It really surprised us because most songs we spend ages perfecting before we even get down to recording them but all the pieces of this one just fell into place straight away.”
“Lots of Noise” is out now on all major platforms and gives insight into an exceptional career ahead.
