Indie-alt rock outfit Sub Cultures return with colourful new single ‘Alone’
Straight onto the scene with their distinctive sound on ‘Far Behind’, Sub Cultures return with their second track to date ‘Alone’. Diving into the realms of indie rock, the alternative new single features the band with a more psychedelic edge.
Sub Cultures have impacted fans across the country with their sound in such a small amount of time, and we’re completely living for it. Energetic, youthful and giving indie a whole new face, ‘Alone’ pays homage to the past while looking firmly to the future.
The recording of the follow-up to debut ‘Far Behind’ was quite a different experience for the band, as vocalist Kane explains, “The process if recording “Alone” was very different to how we have done this before.
We usually record together in the same room but with Lockdown being in place we had to record in separate spaces, then send the individual files to each other. These were then passed to “Twin Strangers” Alex Mcconachie, for mixing and mastering”
Vibrant and using a colourful soundscape, ‘Alone’ illuminates itself in an exquisite arrangement. Glistening from the chorus like chords and overall structure, the second single exceeds all expectations vigorously. Released via Prank Monkey Records, Sub Cultures get stronger with each release.
