Taylor Roche is back with retro-pop infused contender ‘Sucker for a Lonely Heart’ and it’s a gorgeous soundscape of optimism.
Exploring the space of romanticising someone who’s moved on, the track is heavily influenced by 80s and 90s nostalgia with a heavy nod to influences such as Prince, INXS and Chicago.
Telling us about the new release, Taylor Roche states, “Sucker for a Lonely Heart is my ‘retro-Pop statement’ of 2021 that encapsulates the floating space of romanticizing someone who has moved on from you, much like an endless game of chase with no half-time.
Co-produced with Auckland-based producer Will Henderson, this single is a fusion of my obsession with 80s and 90s Pop artists, blended with my love for modern Synth-Pop and R&B.”
