Showcasing that she’s a ‘Rising Star’ within the music industry, The Mos Capri Experiment returns with her second anthem
20 year old singer-songwriter The Mos Capri Experiment creates something original within the world’s hectic sound. Being part of a generation that associates happiness with ‘likes’ and follows on social media, this ‘Rising Star’ is staying as true to her art as possible.
The Mos Capri Experiment mentioned, “When I wrote the song, I had done enough work on myself to feel hopeful that I will find a way to put my inner demons to bed and it’s the beginning of a much healthier relationship with myself. I’m a little more at ease with myself and beginning to look into the future without panic.
When I sing ‘babydoll babydoll, you can’t have it all anymore’, I’m telling the destructive part of myself that it can’t continue to consume and control me. But I’m also worried to let it go because the sadness is kind of familiar and comfortable”
Produced by British Ivor Novello Award two-time winner and Grammy nominate songwriter Sacha Skarbek, the alt-pop strings together themes of improvement and recovery.
As the second track on upcoming EP ‘Let Her Speak’, ‘Rising Star’ is a reassuring anthem of individuality. A sort of safe haven within the chaos of the world, the second release from The Mos Capri Experiment dives straight into a universe of freedom.
