German singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer To Hell With Tradition returns with his new single ‘Monuments’.
A prolific artist with tons of ideas, Achim Hofmeyer (AKA To Hell With Tradition) releases the single alongside his third studio album ‘Blurred’ – 12 tracks which explore the unique synth and organ led indie-rock soundscapes he creates.
The new single, ‘Monuments’ is a reflective, self aware track, balancing melancholic moments with tight drums and bright synths to create an intricate and punchy soundscape.
Achim’s understated yet effortlessly impactful vocal delivery glides over the track adding a soft touch to the digital nature of the instrumentation.
As comparable to Muse as it is Maximo Park and even Radiohead, the overlapping nature of the keyboard lines compliments the intellectual elegance of the lyricism perfectly.
Speaking about the lead single and the new album, Achim explains: “Monuments, as well as the album as whole reflect my progress on the path to finding and understanding the interconnection of the seemingly isolated layers of my true self and the physical reality.
I composed, arranged and produced everything on my own in my bedroom/lounge, as I do with all my music.”
