Lifted out of depression, Tony Pops’ Realize summarises being saved from yourself while reassuring that everything will be ok

Indie pop artist Tony Pops returns with the first new single since his Reverie EP dropped back in August. Written by the artist himself, Tony produced the track in Los Angeles. Originally from Chicopee, MA, Tony grew up with a love for playing the drums for most of his life. In and out of bands over the years, he ended up in LA to pursue songwriting permanently. Returning with the vibrant electronic influenced number “Realize”, the depths of meaning in this track is honest and could well be the closest listeners have felt to Tony so far.

“I wrote and recorded most of this song in a couple of days earlier this year in Los Angeles. “Realize” is about being lifted out of depression- being saved from yourself. A necessary reminder we all need sometimes that gives you an important breath of fresh air. My friend Parker Richey played lead guitar on the track.” – Tony Pops

Short but definitely sweet, the motivational lyrics that summit the atmosphere get straight to the point. Songwriters sometimes can’t get their point across straight away with emotive tracks like this, but Tony’s enthusiasm is completely pure. Showcasing this is something to be proud of and realising self worth is so important, the warming track is a comfort in what may feel like the darkness for listeners. Instrumentation wise, it’s minimalistic but still holds a firm head on it’s shoulders. A breathtaking number that feels reassuring to mental health sufferers.

Tony Pops is set to play a show at The Peppermint Club in Los Angeles tomorrow.
