Formed during the height of the pandemic back in 2021, Ritual Forms are a trio that were formed with intent to merge their array of distinctive musical backgrounds and create a sound free from inhibitions and restrains, and their debut single ‘Dreaming’ has provided clear evidence that they’ve done exactly that.

The track moves at a deliberate, almost cerebral pace, building a real sense of atmospheric tension as it showcases the flair and creativity of their nuanced production and arrangements. The shifting textures and sonic quirks make for a wormhole of a track that unravels and reveals more to you the more that you listen to it and the deeper you go, trying to uncover intricacies within fleeting moments.

“Dreaming started from a looped production idea Curtis created for fun when messing around with drums, piano and a vocal sample from an old obscure rock song, never intending for it to be for Ritual Forms” the band explain. “But Anna heard it and immediately took it in another direction, being inspired by the vocal sample and losing herself in memories of fun nights out, at the time so far away from the height of the pandemic. A new vocal sample was written to start out the catchy trip hop track.”
