Consistently lauded for the thoughtful and authentic feel of their sound and writing, Australian indie rock outfit Rum Jungle continue to showcase their deft charm and appeal on their moving new single ‘What’s It Like’, an exploration of being loved and the appreciation we have for the people around us.
The track has a low-key feel to it throughout that adds to this sense of intimacy and rawness, mostly characterised by the guitars that accompany the poignant lyrics. The idea of somebody who loves you when you don’t even really feel like you love yourself is something that feels powerful and stirring throughout the track, and the reverence and heart that is poured into the track does a great job of articulating this and making for a track that feels really special.
