It is common knowledge at this point that UK indie rock outfit Sea Girls are one of the most exciting in and around the scene right now, and them having earned their second Top 3 record in a row with Homesick only confirms that. Sea Girls also however, aren’t an outfit to take their foot off the gas, and have swiftly followed up with the release of brand new single ‘DNA’ and its video, and added it to a special edition version of the album.

The track is more guitar pop excellence from an outfit that carved out a deserved reputation for it. The track feels effortlessly at home on Homesick, stacked full of pulsating indie rock grooves, thoughtful lyrics, and anchored by frontman Henry Camomile’s distinctive vocals. Sea Girls are in a purple patch at the moment and it will be interesting to see how long they can continue this stellar run of form for.

“We felt that there was another story to tell from the Homesick era, an itch that DNA scratches,” says Henry. “This track is a monumental celebration of being strange. It ponders belonging and identity. DNA celebrates people who don’t fit in. You are who you are and that’s why people love you”

On the video, he continues; “We shot it in just one take whilst travelling between shows on our latest European tour. Our tour bus was heading over the mountains between Germany and Switzerland, and it just all made sense – we had to film there. I think we managed to stumble upon one of the most beautiful locations on earth!”
