Manchester indie pop duo sleepyhead have dropped a new 3-track EP called Red, a accompanying EP to the album Blue In Nature from last year, and one that features their latest single ‘Placekicker’.

The track track is a short but thoroughly fun showcase of the rockier, more hard-edged side to their sound. There is an infectious energy throughout its 1:46 duration, with its upbeat punchiness doing nothing to detract from the personality and charm that has permeated the artist’s work to date. sleepyhead have won us over in a number of ways over their releases, and this track, while brief, just adds another facet to their melodic, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable sound.
