Thanks to her distinctive voice and charming sound, SOFY has been establishing herself as one of the UK’s most vibrant and exciting indie pop acts, with her single ‘Big Talk’ even earning a spot on the wildly popular FIFA series of games alongside a plethora of megastars.

The latest release from the artist is ‘socks’, a lush love song that explores the way that the feelings and emotions can creep up on you until you suddenly realise all at once the way that you’ve fallen for someone. The artist’s charming, indie rock-like flair comes to the fore on the track, with its catchy melodies and irresistible chorus packed full of vibrancy and energy, continuing to highlight what makes the artist feel so special and exciting. SOFY’s personality and charm shines through everything that she does, and the emotion and thoughtfulness on display here hits that much harder because it is paired with her distinctive, personable style.

As described by SOFY herself: “‘socks’ is a full blown indie love song. It’s about falling when you least expect it, and not realising that something was missing from your life until it appears and suddenly everything you see and do feels different – ‘love songs used to make me laugh, ‘til I met you.’ I got the idea for it when, a couple of months after meeting someone, I noticed I’d been wearing his socks to bed for a week. I then realised I was completely head over heels in love with him and that there was probably a song in there somewhere – about how love somehow hits you slowly and all at once at the same time. I wanted the production to feel cinematic and euphoric to match that feeling, with big guitar riffs and drums and atmospheric, dreamy synths.”
