Another track that has been plucked out of the early 90s, packed full of energy and a dynamic, fierce cutting edge that feels as at home today as it would have back then, Tabitha Zu‘s latest re-release from their 1991 limited split 7-inch with TLF label mates Homage Freaks is another showcase of the brash and unapologetic nature of their exciting sound.
The track, titled ‘Heard it Before’, was actually the debut single for the band, and did a great job of showcasing the unfiltered urgency and sense of drive and passion that their sound would grow to be characterised by. The resonating and impactful nature of the vocals and lyrics while meshed with the energetic edge of the instrumentation makes for a really invigorating and memorable listening experience, and one that has stood the test of time with relative ease.
