Emerging UK indie rock outfit The Horn continue to establish their distinctive take on the genre on their second single ‘Always Late’, a timeless, rhythmic ode to the shortcomings of its narrator.

The track has a really laid-back and serene feel to it throughout, as bassist and songwriter Nick True laments his perpetual lateness and the way that it irks the people around him. There is a diaristic and endearing quality to the conversational nature of the writing, that gives it a kind of rawness and intimacy that is compounded by the stripped-back nature of the sound. ‘Always Late’ is a track that above all else feels about imperfections, and our struggle to deal with the factors like time that always seem to be working against us. It is a thoughtful, introspective track about our short-comings and the inevitability of them, and makes for a really great second single from the emerging outfit.
