The track is just the fifth release from the exciting outfit.

Thanks to their brash, rock-edged brand of alternative pop, The Uncertain (or UNCRTN) have rapidly established themselves as a cutting edge and exciting sonic force since their 2021 emergence.

Their latest single ‘Forget About Me’ feels like a delicately poised cocktail that showcases everything that makes the outfit feel exciting and memorable. Indelible pop melodies, chunky, enticing riffs, and an incessant sense of adventure and fun within their sound, the new release is the perfect advertisement for anyone unfamiliar with The Uncertain and looking to find out what the fuss is about. Aside from its creative sound, the track is also lathered in depth, crafting a relatable narrative about feeling you have outgrown your surroundings, done with partying endlessly and feeling like you’re going nowhere and looking to push forward and away from people and situations that aren’t serving you any longer. All of these factors make ‘Forget About Me’ a stellar release from a band still in their relative infancy, and hints at a big future if they can continue to hone their memorable sound.

“It’s basically a song about getting away from stuff that brings you down and tries to change who you are as a person.”Bassist Tyler Magrone says of the track. “A reflective moment in life when you realize you have stopped connecting with the group of people/friends you have grown up with. That you want no part of the same ideals, thoughts or viewpoints that people close to you have. So you just have to get away from all that toxicity, whether it’s physically or metaphorically.”
