The track is part of the recently announced compilation album Passages: Artists in Solidarity with Immigrants, Refugees, and Asylum Seekers
With the release of the compelling and moving new single ‘Alone Until I’m Home’, revered comedian, writer, director, actor, and musician Tim Heidecker has lent his talents to recently announced Passages: Artists in Solidarity with Immigrants, Refugees, and Asylum Seekers compilation album, a collection of tracks designed to leverage the record to catalyse local action in solidarity with immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
The track serves as a moving offering of compassion from Heidecker towards those forced into displacement, making for a heartfelt listening experience that sees him delving into some of his own feelings of the loneliness of long journeys and the feelings of longing and belonging that they conjure within us. There is a deftness and a subtlety to the sound that makes for this warm and organic feel throughout, and does a great job of articulating the ethos of the project and compilation as a whole.
