The track follows their engaging debut ‘I Feel Fine’.
Tess Schoonhoven’s artist project Tornsey has been championed by CLOUT over the last few months since the release of the debut single ‘I Feel Fine, and as the songwriter has now followed it up with a second, we seem to keep finding ourselves even more vindicated in our decision to back the artist for bigger things.
The second and latest Tornsey release is ‘Lost Control’, a track that seems to channel both elements of modern pop and a more vintage, 2000s rock n’ roll sound that gives it a timeless, nostalgic edge. The track follows a narrative of a broken family and the often raw and relatable issues and drama that can be associated with them, and does a really stellar job of encapsulating the feelings and struggles that can come with this kind of territory, signed off with a cathartic and anthemic chorus. It’s still very early to be making assumptions about Tornsey and their trajectory, but at the very least, ‘Lost Control’ continues to hint at a project that has a really engaging and thoughtful sound, and there are sure to be many out there that find a voice that speaks to them on a number of levels within Tornsey.
