The solo project of singer-songwriter and professional touring musician Emily Moore – who has performed with BØRNS, Ella Vos and X Ambassadors to name a few, the Los Angeles-based artist has turned her focus closer to home with the advent of her new project. It is a move that has proven both fruitful and just, as ‘Choosy Moms’ proves.
Underpinned by a slinky, swaggering bassline and smatterings of dreamy psychedelia, the track is a potent pop concoction at its core. Lucid guitar work lazily traces the melody, as Moore’s vocal coos along her hooks. It’s a fun turn and proves that Total Brutal is full of exciting promise.
