The new release is the first track from the artist’s new debut album Man on the Corner
On his powerful new single ‘My Confession’, the first track from his new album Man on the Corner, TT explores the emasculating and hopeless feeling of struggling to provide stability for the people around him, whether financial or otherwise, and the emotional toll that it can take on you as a person.
The rousing, upbeat nature of the instrumentation of the track makes for a really cathartic outlet for these feelings and emotions, with the artist’s vulnerability and openness providing a thoughtful contrast to the more energetic and vibrant feel of his compelling sound. The music video itself also does a really great and cinematic job of articulating this narrative, with the nuance and hard-hitting nature of the situation really coming to the fore.
“‘My Confession’ tells the story of a man struggling with a feeling of hopelessness as he and his wife find themselves facing financial hardship,” TT shares, admitting that, “There have been many times in my deeper relationships (and not just romantic) when I have felt inadequate. Deep down, I just want to care for those I love, whether that’s a partner, children, friends, or others in need, and I struggle with feeling like I never give enough.”
