The track is something of a re-birth for lead singer Gina Zo.

Having left the music industry indefinitely in 2018, former The Voice contestant Gina Zo has re-emerged at the forefront of exciting and hotly-tipped alternative rock outfit Velvet Rouge. The outfit meld the artist’s effortless vocals with dynamic instrumentation, accentuated by the cutting edge, driving riffs and pounding drums that permeate the sound.

The debut single from the outfit is ‘Save Me’, a colossal track that encapsulates everything that is exciting about the project. A track that sheds the skin of Gina’s previous instincts of feeling like she has to create sounds that are the most sultry, or palatable, eschewing that for a raw sense of emotion and honesty, unfazed and unbothered. ‘Save Me’ is an anthem, a rallying cry from an outfit that are hungry and intent on making the music that they feel they need to make. Gina may be at the forefront of the sound, but all of the performances here feel top notch, and add to the spectacle and sheer impact of the sound.
