The track is just the fourth single from the distinctive and atmospheric rising artist
Boasting a distinctive alternative folk sound that has a tendency to delve into atmospheric and dark waters, rising North Carolina artist Winston Orz is an artist with a sound that feels endlessly intriguing and interesting, providing listeners with something to sink their teeth into and explore thanks to the allure and unique tone that his tracks possess.
The artist’s fourth and latest single is ‘Moonwalks’, a track that encapsulates the excellent way that the artist establishes tone and atmosphere in its sound, using a moody intensity to paint a compelling picture of the thoughts that run through his mind as he walks, delving into a variety of themes like self-doubt, fear, regret, and joy that make for a multi-faceted and expansive journey. There is an authenticity and rawness to the artist’s sound that really helps it to stand out and feel exciting, and it makes these moments of reflection feel all that more affecting and resonating as a result.
“‘Moonwalks’ is literally influenced by introspective walks I take at night (often under moonlight),” Winston says. “During these walks my thoughts seem to bounce from one subject to another yet still cling together. Common themes are regret, loss, resignation, hope, fear, joy, and wonder. There isn’t a linear pattern to these thoughts and neither is there a linear logic to the lyrics of “Moonwalk” (at least from my perspective). Rather, the song is a snapshot of these feelings.”
