The track follows the release of the CLOUT-lauded ‘The Buddy System’.
Wolfgang Wallace are one of those bands that feel like they could survive purely on the mountains of uniqueness and charisma that seeps through their weird and wonderful work and writing, making for endlessly captivating journeys through the psyche of frontman Matthew (Wally) Wallace.
Their sound has indie rock and emo tendencies at times, but falls into the more grandiose and dramatic realms that contained some of the best work of artists like My Chemical Romance and Brand New, and this is especially evident on new single ‘Destroy The Web’. The track feels quite unlike anything else. Intense, vulnerable, honest, bleak, all words that could be used to describe the track, written about struggling to find meaning after your prime has come and gone, but from the perspective of a spider, somehowfrom the perspective of a spider? It’s strange, its a lot to take on, but its exactly the kind of thought-provoking, captivating chaos that we have come to expect from Wolfgang Wallace, and it continues to re-affirm that there is nobody else quite like them.
