With the impending release of their upcoming new LP FLANK! coming later this summer, CLOUT favourites Wotts have released the second taste of the collection of tracks in the form of ‘Better Days’, a release that continues down this path of crafting a more thoughtful and softer sound that puts emotion and heart first.
The track has a really atmospheric, late night feel to its instrumentation and style that feels effortlessly cool while being saturated full of substance too, unpacking negative feelings following a difficult period of time and making for one of their most immersive and relatable releases in the process. The piano-driven nature of this track and previous single ‘NOT US’ have added a whole new facet and appeal to the band’s sound, continuing to expand on what is already an ambitious and creative style.
“This one really came out of me processing some bad stuff that happened last summer” explains Jayem, “I wanted it to feel like a soundtrack to a summer night when stuff feels a bit heavy and all you can do is hope for the best”.
