The latest release from the Canadian duo is ‘NOT US’, a track that takes cues from 80s bands like The Police and Duran Duran to create a feel that feels intrinsically vintage and timeless while maintaining their polished, modern appeal. The track touches on the theme of loss and melding happy and sad vibes together in a way that looks to be fleshed out more as we hear more from their upcoming new EP FLANK!, and we can’t wait to hear more from the project and see how they continue to take bold new steps with their sound.
“Over the last year I’ve become obsessed with The Police. Definitely a left field inspiration in the grand scheme of things, but we couldn’t help but try to channel them in a song or two” explains Jayem.
